We have tried to make our site as easy to use as possible, but if you are having problems, or something is not obvious to you, try looking here and we should have it covered. browsing Browsing is divided into Albums, Television Styles, Musical Styles, Moods and Countries. Simply click once on one of the main categories in the nav bar on the left, then once loaded you will be able to browse main and sub categories of this list where applicable. Once you have found your selection simply click, to launch those results. the track display object Each track in addition to informational content has four options by it in browsing mode. PREVIEW BUTTON Preview any track by clicking the speaker icon. This will cue up the track in the player above where you can either pause, or use the srub bar to jump between locations in each track. the download button To use the download button, we recommend you are logged in to the web site (this is free and can be done using the signup link). We also offer a quick checkout mode, should you not want to sign in first. If you have purchased an annual or an episode license, you can literally download whatever track you want for your productions directly. If this is the case, upon clicking it, you will be presented with a box asking you whether you would like to download in 320kb/s mp3 or wav format. If however, you do not have an episode or annual license (default setting), you can still purchase the track individually. Once signed in, clicking the download button will give you the option to purchase the track through the very secure google checkout, or if you think a global license (either annual or episode) is applicable for your productions, this is also offered as an option. To ensure no problems occur, make sure that you set platinum music to allow popups in whatever browser you are using, as popup blockers may interfere with taking you to the check out page. Once checkout is complete, you will be delivered a link to your file, which is automatically zipped up for your reference and contains your music in 320kb/s mp3 and wav format, license agreement, and all details necessary to fill in a cue sheet. We recommend using either winzip, stuffit or winrar to open your zip file once downloaded. the add to project button To use the add to project icon, you must also be signed in to platinum music (use the signup link to do this for free). This button allows you to store collections of tracks in different project folders on our web site. Once signed in, simply click the button, and you are presented with the add to project dialogue box. You can either add your track to an existing project (a drop down selector will appear on the left hand of the screen allowing you to select any pre created projects) - just click add to existing project, upon which a confirmation dialogue will let you know once complete. Alternatively you can add the track to a new project. Just fill in the new project box, then click add to new project. In either case track notes can be added for viewing in the project manager for your reference later. the project manager You can click launch project manager at any time when you are signed in to view, checkout or download your projects. You can switch between projects using the drop down selector list in the top of the project manager window. You can also download and delete projects using the download arrow, or x button directly next to this field. Tracks can also be removed from the project manager by clicking the x next to each track. If you choose to download a project without purchasing an episode or annual license, all tracks in your project basket can be group purchased at normal track prices. Literally just hit download, and your tracks will be created and zipped up by our server automatically, ready for download after purchase (a link is provided upon successful checkout). If you are purchasing a large amount of tracks this may take a few minutes, as to give you all options, we provide high quality mp3 and wav versions of each file in your zip file, complete with all track and cue sheet information. If you have purchased an annual or episode license (your account will be upgraded upon purchase of these), you can download project zip files directly without the need for the checkout process. search This is simply what it says, use the search tool to look for criteria - this tool will search track keywords, tv genres, musical styles, primary instruments, moods, countries, descriptions, and any other relevant information to return the most accurate results for your query. You can also filter the search by Soundbed, Main or Sting versions by using the check boxes above the search bar. signup Just click the signup link under the search button. Fill in all fields then click Go. An email will be sent to you confirming your platinum details. This enables you to use the download and project buttons next to each track. After successful signup, you will be logged in automatically. login Use the top right hand corner of the screen to log in to your Platinum Music account. If you have forgotten your details, just hit the blue question mark under then click forgot password.
